Microdermabrasions are one of our most popular treatments here at The Cosmetic Clinic.
While the treatment name may be more recognisable, there can still be some mystery on what this well-loved treatment is all about. We’ve rounded up some of our most frequently asked questions and answered them below!
What is a microdermabrasion?
A deep-exfoliating treatment, a microdermabrasion refreshes dull skin by buffing the dead surface layer away to help reveal the fresh new skin underneath. Here at The Cosmetic Clinic, we use a diamond-tipped microdermabrasion and vacuum suction technology, combined with a combination of powerful topical cosmetic products for our Microdermabrasion treatments.
How long does it take?
Our 10-Step High Performance Microdermabrasion treatment can take around 50 minutes. Alternatively, we have our Express Microdermabrasions that are around 20 minutes long. (Perfect to sneak into your lunch break!)
What are the benefits?
A microdermabrasion treatment can help with:
· Deep cleansing to help reveal a purified, clearer complexion by gently removing dead surface cells
· Improving skin tone and softening the signs of premature aging, sun spots, scars, and dry skin
· Managing breakouts and can help clear congested skin and pores to reduce blackheads and blemishes
· Revealing brighter and fresher skin
Which skin type is it suitable for?
Our microdermabrasion treatments are generally suitable to all skin types, as the treatment is customised to you and your skin. However, we always recommend booking a free consultation with one of our expert technicians to determine the right treatments for you.
